
Bus, trolleys and tram
Tallinn is provided with an efficient public transport system, though the city centre can be easily visited on foot. Buses, trolleys and trams operate between 6 am and 11 pm. tickets can be purchased at newsagent's kiosks or directly on board, but with a surcharge. You can also purchase a 10-ticket carnet for 90 Kroon, or 1 and 3 days cards, respectively for the price of 55 kroon and 100 kroon. The ticket must be validated on board, and the expiry date will be printed on it after first validation.
Car parks
If you arrive in Tallinn by car, we recommend to leave the vehicle in one of the city car parks, and use the public transport. The parking slots present in the city centre are free for the first 15 minutes, then you have to pay an hourly fee. Remember to exhibit the ticket on the dashboard of your car.
Tallinn Card
Just like all the main European cities, Tallinn offers to tourists the possibility to purchase a card, which gives access to numerous discounts in museums, attractions, thermal resorts and other participating structures such as restaurants, shops exc… Beside this, Tallinn card entitles to unlimited travels on all public transports.
Remember that museums in Estonia are generally closed on Monday or Tuesday.
